Mr. José Luis Torres Colomer, mayor of Ribeira (La Coruña), visited New Jersey on February 17, 2008. Torres Colomer met with a large group of members and sympathizers of the People's Party of Spain in New Jersey to discuss strategies for the March 9 general election in Spain. The mayor of Ribeira attended Sunday mass at the "Inmaculado Corazón de María" Church of Newark, which services the Spanish community of the area.
